the 5th gen should've remained 100% 2D minus a few experimental 3D games here and there. the 5th gen could've perfected the 2D formula and created masterpieces that utilized 2D to its fullest potential. early 3D was a mistake and a waste and aged like shit. 3D should've started with the 6th gen. the 2D 5th gen games were all a million times better than the 3D ones. imagine all the amazing 2D masterpieces we would've gotten.

If you could choose between ONLY playing 2D 5th gen games or 3D ones, which ones would you play?

if video games didn't go to shit, and actually kept getting better, do you think the 5th gen would've been left in the dust and forgotten about like the 1st and 2nd gens?
