/vr/ - Retro Games

Gonna hijack this thread really quick so I don't have to make a whole new one, how is this in comparison to other clones?

Now, I know you guys have a vendetta against clones, but I want to get one while this fucking retro bubble is still unpopped and rising. Is the SRT good? I heard it's the best hardware clone (unlike the Retron5 which is just an Android thing) and I don't mind if I lose out on one or two games. I just don't want to get a real NES/SNES/Genesis while the prices are fucked six ways from Sunday thanks to millenials

So I've heard a lot of good things about the Super Retro Trio. Mainly that it's very reliable, especially when compared to the Retron 5. It also has good compatibility and is extremely faithful to the original hardware.

Fry's is now selling these for $60. Tell my why I should or should not pick one up.

So, is objection against the Retron on principal only or that it can't even emulate WELL?

Because doing some research, it looks like the Super Retro Trio has A LOT better compatibility, has has full multi region controls, has all the same system available to it and more with just some extra accessories, is like a third of the price, doesn't come with shit controllers, doesn't have any noticeable loss on sound quality compared to teh actual consoles, and doesn't look like a robot abortion.

Like, for what it does, it looks like the the Super Retro Trio actually does it WELL.
