This is a phenomena that is widespread and across nearly any hobby. They've grown up their whole lives programmed to believe there is a scientific objective answer for everything. They lack the ability to theorize or think abstractly. Not all of them, but many are extremely dogmatic zealots when it comes to things that are observational in nature.

Every single thing that has subtlety or nuance with no clear objective answer makes them violent... because every time something like this comes up it is proof against the fake reality of absolute objectivity they've been programmed into believing.

>Combustion Engines can't have aspects that are better than EVs
>That 50 year old vacuum cleaner can't be better than this Dyson

I could spend hours outlining why the flexibility in resolution and aspect ratio without scaling is such a big deal, I can go on and on about motion and black smear, I could tell you how much better CRT gamma curves are and how important that is to how an image looks... they don't care. They're in a cult and they don't realize it.
