Which ones have you played? Which one is your favorite? Which ones do you think deserve more recognition?

I fucking love Tales of Phantasia, it's not necessarily my favorite but it was the first fan translated game I played on an emulator and I still think it's better than every remake that has come since.

Are you kidding? I've been a SNES RPG fag since the 90s and I always thought Square games were the worst ones.

How different would the western world's dialogue on JRPGs be if pic related had come out in the west on the SNES rather than years later as a shitty GBA port? Chrono Trigger, FFVI, Earthbound and SMRPG are considered some of the best rpgs ever to this day and represent a point when the genre started to gain traction in the US, but Phantasia blows them all out of the water.
