Pre-2000s, the Arcade game maybe. Much like the slop you knowingly chose to represent your thread, there was no such thing as "best" Simpsons game because that involves being good to begin with.

And even after that, the best thing you could say about a licensed Simpsons game was that they may have been basically competent and/or not a barefaced clone of a popular game.

MAME is as simple as matching the romset version number and MAME version number, and downloading whatever MAME says is missing. VM's are as simple as setting up a modern PC, and you follow the same steps. How do you fail this hard?
