i have the complete retail library on my everdrive
even without the (godtier) cd library you still have a STACKED collection of around 330 hucards

not EVERY game is a 10\10
but there are some killer titles that never got rereleased on other systems
if you liked the nes\snes\genesis era
and didn't have a tg16 growing up its like another timecapsule library from that exact era
with the upside of tons of games that you likely havent played

there is nothing "RELAXING" about bullet hell shmups
im not sure why i am drawn to them
i like going in blind not 'practicing' maps
i like to try to use my intuition\ESP\skill\reaction time
i enjoy seeing how far i can get without having to quarter-munch
i get in an autistic 'zone' and start going hard as fuck

a few other games get me like this,
tempest 2000, defender on the 2600, gunbird, gg aleste 2, etc
i dont score chase, get competitive
i just enjoy that type of gameplay from time to time

i have a few arcade pcb. superguns
rgb scart to s-video converters, sony pvm
custom arcade sticks
everything you would need
i probably go into shmup mode about 2-3 times a month
beat a shmup on pc engine, saturn, genesis
then its out of my system for awhile
