Save states are allowed only if your emulator has no pause function. So if you can pause your entire emulator, do that instead. I've left for work with my emulator paused in the background more than once.

We exploded the dam, halting the enemies advance. Picked up some new Dolls to replace the ones I lost (one was listed as recovered, so hopefully I can get her back later)

Next mission is ambushing the enemy at a bridge, using air strike to hold them back. Sounds fun.

I should note the music is very repetitive and headache inducing
