You ever think there's something soulful about being a kid and being shit at games but just playing them and getting good because you have nothing else to do?

When I was a kid I picked up Mega Man Zero 2 because I expected it to be a Mega Man classic game and was confused when I was getting my ass kicked by the first stage. I always got a D or F rank and kind of just brute forced my way through the game spamming Elves as much as possible and and clawing my way to the boss with one life left, throwing the console across the room because the boss made me their bitch. But I still got up. I never got a good rank, but I beat the whole game as a retard kid. And I think there's something in there. Specifically, that as a kid, you had the free time to just endlessly keep trying and didn't have so many games, so you'd just keep returning every so often to try again and eventually by damn it will fucking be completed no matter how you get there.

My autistic Mega Man fan as a kid story (I could even blog more but I'll hold back)
>be kid in early '00s with a PS2, Dreamcast and N64
>play Marvel vs. Capcom 2 obsessively at a restaurant downtown I used to go to, so played the fuck out of it when I got it for Dreamcast, for a while it becomes my favorite game ever
>don't recognize a lot of the characters because it was one of if not the first fighting game I really played
>really like Mega Man and think he's cool, like playing as him
>see all the different attire colors and knowing nothing of the "taking powers from others and taking on different colors" dynamic, assumed he was some kind of RoboCop that's mass produced in different colors
>one day at Funcoland or EB Games, looking at the loose GBA games and notice "Mega Man" Battle Network 3
>wtf is this, a Mega Man game? I need to get this
>wtf is this, a Mega Man game? there's a blue guy but I can immediately tell this isn't the same as the stuff I'm familiar with from Marvel vs. Capcom 2
>just get into the game as its own thing and really get into it, have a brief Battle Network fanboy phase where I got some of the toys and the LCD PET game with the physical chips, used to think the "walking around the internet and fighting each other in that space" concept was so fucking cool, catch the cartoon sometimes on Kids WB
>get stuck at the part where you have to go into the Undernet and ragequit
>don't know where that cartridge went really
>become more of a general Mega Man fanboy
>few years later at Costco and see Battle Network 6: Grepher and decide to get it, why the hell not, cool new Battle Network game let's see what's cracking
>pretty much play nothing else until I 100% it
Funnily enough I ended up playing through and beating Battle Network 1 and 2 on the DSTwo (a DS flash cart) default emulator. It wasn't exactly optimal. BN1 is underrated btw

It was always shitposting. Sorry to blackpill you dude but a lot of people just like to fuck with you.
>y-you're just saying that b-because y-you lost the argument! you're mad!
My actions are up to your own interpretation, feel free to form a headcanon. Also, continue to obsess over me and the YouTuber boogeyman. It's funny.
