I posted last thread about

>One of these days I'm going to go to a gun range with a wide variety of rare guns and take video from POV with my gopro and use it to sprite/share on zdf for others to sprite with.

>For futuristic guns you would probably be best served by making a mockup gun using future looking stuff from a hardware store and taking video/pictures with that.

I was thinking more about it, and because of my profession, I have a bunch of tools and apparatus, some of which reasonably look like they could be futuristic guns with some modification. Would it be worthwhile to take pictures/video of them being held and moved in doom perspective for others (I have no spriting ability myself) to sprite over them?

For example I have pic related (using a googled image rather than my own because it's easier than hauling my ass out in the cold to go get it from the truck and take a picture), would something like that be usable by people? I'm thinking most of them will have to have stuff added to them by the spriter or just have parts of them used for other guns. There's also some older stuff I have that has a bit of corrosion and some other newer stuff. Probably about a dozen worthwhile items overall, give or take. Whaddayall think?
