The only time I could see myself wanting to remove the N64's blur/AA is if I had some kind of crazy broadcast monitor with thick as fuck scanlines, as a 240p signal with 3D graphics is basically AA'd by them inherently. Otherwise, composite/s-video on a Toshiba or an RCA consumer set is fine for the rest of us.

This, doubly so for hardware emulation. Nothing wrong with original hardware but it's good to recognize it's limitations (slowdown, color-depth, etc). I actually think the PlayStation tends to have better graphics than the N64 when you give it texture filtering (like you can when you play them on PlayStation 2) and fix the z-buffer issue. On a related note: I've noticed emulators develop things like HD Mode 7 (pic related) and even some widescreen hacks for the likes of Link to the Past and Super Metroid, which makes me wonder if there's some way in emulation to change the SNES' resolution just enough for it to fill the full 320x240 progressive of an SD CRT (closer to what Sega had with the Mega Drive).
