I always had this habit of cranking the speed all the way up in Sierra games because normally the games were too slow.
Boy, was I in for a treat with this one.

Still haven't beat it either, but I give it a shot everynow and then.
The whole game is nightmare fuel and still spooks me at times.

my 6 year old self was NOT READY FOR THIS.
This was like my 2nd PC game. The first being like a shitty jumpstart education.

Just the idea that that was a human prisoner, that slowly devolved into being a screamy-police-summoning slave wasn't too deep for me to realize, and shudder at.

Space Quest IV was scary af (and hard to get through as a fucking child)

My parents favourites were King's Quest 5 and 6.

My sister loved both Laura Bow games. They scared the shit out of me. I was scared of the Space Quest series at times though too, so I'm a big pussy. That guy following you in the 3rd one, and that alien who points at you and screams near the start of 4.

I personally liked Quest for Glory 1 and 2 best. I never got far into 3 and never tried the others.
