I grew up playing Romancing SaGa 3 to death on an old snes emulator. Two times got to the Destroyer, got rekt and had to restart all over, then I got the hang of it and it was amazing. The music, the graphics, the difficulty, the openness.

After that a friend of mine who had a PS lent me SaGa Frontier 2. It instantly became my favorite game ever.

Played through SaGa Frontier, Minstrel Song, Unlimited. Enjoyed them all. Unlimited was kind of... weird? But the art direction and music was enough to carry me to the end.

When Romancing SaGa 2 got released for android I got really excited but my cellphone wasn't good enough to play it. The first thing I did when I got a decent phone was download it (from here) and beat it like 3 times in a row. It probably is the best game in the series and one of the best RPGs ever made. Design, difficulty, art direction, music, content, it's top tier in every department.

Though my favorite remains SaGa Frontier 2. I wish I could afford the Perfect Works

I wish Gustave's relationship with Leslie was explored a bit further in the game, she basically disappears past a certain point.
