The point is that Bethesda either lost or never bothered to release the source code so this guy is painstakingly reverse-engineering the entire game from the assembly code and rewriting it in C++, pretty much by himself.

Given how fucking tedious that sounds I wouldn't be surprised if it took another couple months at least.

It does my heart good. This was the first CRPG I played at great length - I had a copy of that massive Daggerfall Chronicles strategy guide that we wore down to the spine.
