I actually agree, LA DX's colors always seemed like they clashed a lot, I prefer the monochrome scheme for it.

There is nothing inherently wrong or "autistic" about preferring the original version. The colors can sometimes look a bit clashing, and make tilesets a lot more obvious. It doesn't look bad, but I personally prefer LA in monochrome. There's some nice custom palettes you can make with the super gameboy too.
That said, if OP needs to ask if he should buy it denotes that either he's a tool or baiting.
As others said it's basically the same game. He's maybe complaining that Nintendo isn't selling the original version. It would be nice if you could switch between original and DX within the same VC purchase, but that's too much to ask I guess.

I think it looks especially nice if played on the old gameboy, with that greenish look on it, better than plain black and white.
I think the DX version looks pretty good too, but for example in this screenshot, it just looks a bit clustered, the colors don't mash well together, I also didn't imagine the water to be that color as a kid, I had the greenish color palette in my mind, which made everything be a lot more, yes, dream-like.

I mean, it's probably 90% nostalgia, but there's some truth behind it too... the game was designed to look good on monochorme display, and I think it more than succeeded.
