>What are the most skill intensive shmups?
probably Raiden Fighters series. Need to move fast, bullets are fast, scoring is a dangerous balancing act of triggering medals and sometimes staying still and -not- shooting while enemies are zooming in, clipping you in a couple frames with their light-speed shots. It's highly nerve-wracking, not to mention the insane later bosses or TLBs.

the two examples you have are like playing shmups on downers or horse tranqs after you've sucked in some of that Jet. Raiden Fighters Jet that is.

Nihilistic, intelligent and with a wicked sense of consent

Example

>Dude when I found Myron i kill him lol

Lot of nerd self hate for this character

You should love this guy because he's basically you, because if you don't... what does that say about you?

Wrong. Broken Hill is more complex than anything in FO1 with its endings, and nobody in FO1 is as in depth as Myron is in FO2

Fallout 1 is the milky way, but Fallout 2 is a whole universe.

Oh no doubt about it, but Fallout 1 doesn't have the amazingly written Broken Hills or the detailed Myron

Narratively speaking, Fallout 1 is amazingly plotted and I sort of prefer it for that reason as opposed to the scatter gun approach of FO2.

Yet

Character writing wise? Nobody in FO1 is as interesting or as well developed as Myron in FO2. Nobody comes close.

And Myron is a character you probably won't even meet on your first play through
