Its a simple DQ clone. If you don't like that style of simpler turn based you won't like it.

Its actually my favorite game ever made, I absolutely love it. I think /vr/ mostly has a hateboner for since it became the scapegoat for the retro gaming boom and price increase. I've also noticed overtime /vr/ has developed a sort of elitist attitude for action game. If you're not 1ccing that balls to the wall hard arcade game then you're "casual".
