If you can get Phantom Ganon to descend low enough while doing his blocking animation in Ocarina of Time, you can actually hit his feet with the vertical swings of the Master Sword. This will actually damage him and make him fall to the ground in his usual stunned animation (complete with electricity), but it will last for an extremely short amount of time. You can even defeat him while he's airborne by using this method.
