There was no thread up for it, and Google has failed me, so here's another thread for it.
Is there a game at the back of your head or the tip of your tongue that seems incredibly familiar but you just can't remember the name? Well ask in this thread, and maybe someone else on /vr/ does remember it.

For me:
There was this arcade-y game on the computers of my after school program, and its main mechanic was that you would shoot exploding golf balls down range that was filled with a shitload of different props. Things like billboards, blimps, moving vans, buildings, that kind of shit. Everything that you could hit had animations for being blown to bits. The value of a target was based on how far away from the tee off spot it was and its size. I could only play one level, since it was shareware or something to that nature. Download the demo, pay for the full game. The one level I could play was based on a desert area seemingly just off of the Vegas Strip, with goofy billboards and moving cowboy signs.
