This was probably the first Sega game I ever played. It's the reason why I begged for a Master System along with Outrun, Afterburner, and Space Harrier. They were even nice enough to build in Hang On if I carelessly forgot to put a cartridge in before I turned on the system. There were many other noteworthy Sega games between this and the second coming of Sega with Model I & II, and eventually their downfall with Naomi. They were too pure for a world without arcades.
