I've always thought that Quistis lovers must be fat

All the meme theories are shit and are for brainlets.

However, there is ONE unexplained thing in FF8 that is central to the plot: Ellone's power, where does it come from?!

At some point I assumed that she had a remnant of Hyne's powers, which would make of her a sorceress. However that does not make sense: sorceress powers are passed on to another sorceress when they die, so if Ellone was a sorceress, Ultimecia wouldn't need to go back to the past to play the shitty SeeDs that suck ass to acquire Ellone's time travel capabilities, she would only need to find the corresponding sorceress in HER time. (she has to use Odine's machine to go into the past after all).

Thus the mystery remains unsolved. Her power is more than mere magic, yet it is presumably not sorceress power either... did she someone inherit some Hyne power without becoming a sorceress?
The truth is, she is probably just Deus Ex Machina: the character; and we have to take it for granted and leave it at that, but it is odd to find this unexplained bit when everything else is explained (because explaining everything and where they come from was what fantasy and fantastic stories did at the time, look at Resident Evil or Silent Hill; a big difference from movies in the 80's which just had monsters and left the how unknown)

Also, one cool tip to know is that Seifer's lvl doesn't matter; so for early game AP you can "cheat", leave only him alive, and grind until you're satisfied.
