Increments are measured in actors, every time you touch this, the old pickup disappears and leaves the next one, until you're at the last one.
You can alter the ammo given on each, and as long as you make another actor for the previous one to jump to, the ammo pickup can be as long as you want.
You can further assign whatever sound, sprites, and pickup messages you want. You can have the pickup leave an empty container or something after you take the last ammo, or you can omit it and it will disappear cleanly afterwards.

In the example here, this box holds 40 pistol cartridges, and you can touch it four times, getting 10 cartridges each time. If you have the space to pick up 40 cartridges, when you touch this object, you would pick up all 40 cartridges in the span of 4 tics.
