Should I really be worried about running backups on my dreamcast? I've heard it kills the gd-rom drive. Would using high quality media make a difference?

I can literally not think of a more relevant change to the dreamcast. OP you clearly don't know why the DC failed, the PS2 did NOT kill it - sega flat out ran out of money

Hey /vr/, I just got myself a Dreamcast and I'm wondering if anyone knows how I'd manage to get it working online in this day and age?

Face it, it was never good.

What good games are worth playing on this machine or on the Demul emulator that are not so obvious?

I like the charm of the Sega Dreamcast for some reason.

I already have the NOT RETRO GameCube versions of Resident Evil 2, 3, and Code Veronica.

When I was younger I had a Dreamcast. Loved it at the time, but the games I had for it were the standard ones everyone has played. I've been thinking about picking one up, and one of those SD card adapters so I can really dive into the consoles library and gain a better appreciation for it. What games would you guys suggest?

So /vr/ I need some help.
My Dreamcast has problems reading some games, even tho they look just fine. I git like 20 games, of which my dreamcast is not possible to play 5, for example worms armageddon.
When I try to start the games, the console stays a while at the "Dreamcast Windows CE" Screen and than just goes into the dreamcast menu, like there was no game.
Is this fixable and if so, what can I do to repair it.
