As a test, I did just that.

What I get is no different.

I get "text" or something that is all crunched up on the bottom 1/8th of the screen, and after a few moments it goes black.

Same result as when I bought it and spent days trying to get it to work.

Pic is what I get, and I have tried all roms included in the pack. Months ago when I went through all this, I came here to ask questions and basically got shit on for not spending 3x more for the best flash cart reader. I wasn't offered any help, just flamed for getting exactly what I expected.

My problem is that by all accounts this should not be a problem title.

It is what it is. I am not missing out on the titles that matter to me. I got the flash cart to save space, so no matter what I am still ahead.

I may get the Everdrive, but my gaming habits would need to warrant me playing Perfect Dark.

Did perfect dark have some sort of piracy protection?
