I want to start emulating some Saturn games but I don’t really know where to start. I’m not really into RPGs and fighting games, and unfortunately that’s basically the Saturn’s forte. Any recommendations on some good games? Already played Nights into Dreams and it’s the best thing ever.

Just watch a gaming historian video bro. But to summarize, the 32x, Saturn surprise launch in the USA, Bernie Stolar killing the Saturn early, chip shortages that couldn't keep up with Dremcast demand. What I have said is not everything, and is a very, very short and not all inclusive summary, but those are the highlights, or, umm, "lowlights" I suppose you could call them, lol. It's a shame they killed the Saturn early too. I love Nintendo, but I have discovered the Saturn as an adult collector, and I think it would have been my favorite console back ion the day if I owned one, but unfortunately for it, nostalgia, whether you admit it or not, plays a key part in determining your favorite platforms.

So I have a Saturn and tons of games, and I am wondering if there is any drawback to just selling the games for a profit and burning the games onto CD-ROMs? Has anyone here done this? How many games can fit onto a CD-ROM? I already have an AR cart since I have mostly Japanese games.

I am trying to minimize my tangible collection as much as possible, and since Saturn emulation isn't exactly all there yet, I'd like to at least keep the console and play games on it.

The n64 and ps1 are my favorite consoles, but I don’t have many Sega saturn games to play. I wanna spend my stimulus money on the essentials so I need some recommendations. What are some of your favorites for the saturn?

How did Sega manage to make a worse console than the N64?

Is there an affordable way to play roms on this thing? Right now, the available optical drive emulators are Phoebe and Rhea but they are extremely low stock and get scalped. The only ones I can find are $600.00 on ebay. There are alternatives in the works but the progress is unpredictable and will probably take many years.

I can't seem to find .bin and .cue files for sega saturn games all I can find are .mdf and .mds files. is there a way to convert .mds and .mds files to .bin and .cue? Or am I shit outta luck?
