D44M is a modern game with modern audiences in mind. The start of the game really isnt all that action packed compared to the rest of the game. While its cool to have a demo in modern day, the content of the demo is the part where its telling new players what the game is but in a slow and inviting kind of way. Its not like Plutonia MAP01 that just goes all out the moment you start. D44M is a good game but its understandable for a veteran to be skeptical. It might not be the best game in the series but it was a pleasant surprise when it came out, and the next one is looking even more promising.

I played through the GEC edition on GZDoom. Its the most solid one start to finish imo. Every part is the best part. Whoever said it was bad was dumbass critics at the time that wanted every fps to be full 3D
