Shaders and filters on a PC CRT with a normal video card.

Even if it wasn't, the ArcadeVGA only simplifies things; You can do low-res emulation with most graphics cards if you feel like doing the leg work.

A simple scanline overlay can go a long way though.

I wouldn't mind getting one just to fiddle around with, but it's not on my "must buy list" by any means.
I do have a Colecovision and Intellivision that I got from a relative, but my attempts at getting them going were thwarted by not having an RCA to F-Connector adapter.

800 line model, so a very sharp picture.

Assuming it's in good condition, it'd make for a very good monitor. Shipping not considered, I probably wouldn't pay more than maybe $80 or so, but maybe I'm just a cheap ass.

>Also, stupid question, but how do these PVMs connect to consoles, they have weird connectors
Any standard S-Video cable will work for it.

As for composite/component, standard RCA cables and some of these adapters: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000G5S4JI/ (RCA female to BNC Male) is all you need. You can, of course, find them elsewhere than amazon.

RGB will require a breakout cable in order to get the R, G, B, and sync lines (as well as audio) from a SCART cable fed into it. It's also mono audio only, so you'd likely want to get a separate audio solution for it; Speaker isn't bad for what it is though.
Something similar to what's linked in >>2287821 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/191518429296 ) is what you'd want; While the seller has been recommended before, I don't want to suggest them until we've cleared up whether the cable is the reason for that anon's problems.
