>Read the thread, scan converters were talked about. Nobody talked straight up 480i output into a VGA monitor.
No mention of scanconverters in this comment chain, just you alluding to 480i being supported on an E230. You even mentioned that it looks average as far as trinitrons go so that means you looked it up but didn't check the horizontal scan rate to see that it's a 31-85khz monitor. If we're talking about scan converters then maybe mention that to the person who's asking about 480i into a 31khz monitor?

>It is. I have different monitors that behave differently with interlaced signals
Do you have an example or just anecdotal evidence? Your eyes not seeing the flicker isn't proof btw. A high pitch monitor doing interlaced might not look very flickery, especially from a source with a flicker filter. The phoshpors used and their persistence would also have a large effect on the amount of flicker.

>It is. It's the framebuffer.
You're right, I goofed on that one. Went to go check on my pc that's setup to do 480i and it does show 640x480.

>It was nice taking a piss on you since you failed to specifically mention 15kHz, just 480i and specifically didn't understand what scandoublers do.
Sure thing. I literally said NTSC standard timings which is 15khz. I also asked you for an example of a 15khz monitor specifically. You should read the thread, old man.
