Every game you like is soulless. Every game I like is soul. Deal with it or kill yourself.

Crt does nothing you fucking retards. Modern televisions display the picture of old games a hundred times better. You morons just think being an edgy contrarian is a personality

I love the tone and atmosphere of AoL. It's really neat how the game basically frames killing Ganon at the end of Zelda 1 as a bad thing, because it created a massive power vacuum that sent all of Hyrule's monsters into a hyper-competitive frenzy that the common people couldn't control. Isn't it cool how all the towns are really out of the way or hidden, and there are just monsters roaming around everywhere and blocking paths and occupying ruined cities and stuff? It's a really unique setting, especially for Zelda.

There's plenty of other weird stuff that adds to the experience even further. You start by visiting these random obscure temples on beaches where you fight monster generals and the typical range of weaklings, but then you start going down these massive underground dungeon complexes and encountering all of these insane, corrupted, ancient beasts. Does anyone else find it strange that the final boss's dungeon is literally locked behind a forcefield? It just gives you a sense that you're not supposed to be there and that you're really fighting against pure chaos.

And that's without getting into all the weird backstory BS about Zelda's brother's murderous wizard friend and the dead king and Link seeing a piece of the Triforce appear on his hand! Isn't that kooky? Maybe I'm reading too much into all of this, but it really made the game for me.

>Rare reworked the whole game because journalists thought Twelve Tales looked "too kiddy" at trades shows
