I was reminded of a videogame a few days back, from way, waaay back in my youth, which I don't remember the title of, and not much of its specifics. I played it a bit and watched my brothers play it on our dad's work PC.

I'll try to list up the elements of it I can remember, some of these are pretty uncertain.
>main screen was an overhead map, maybe the only screen
>might have been a bit like SMB3 with how it had locations and then lined paths between them which you moved between, not 100% sure
>locations seemed to either be like islands, peninsulas, archipelagos, etc, there were islands, coastlines, bays, etc
>might have been some castles on the map
>you looked for treasure and money or something, gold and silver, don't remember if you dug up treasure chests or not, could have been diamonds involved also
>sometimes you ran into a random encounter with a bandit, it showed an animation with a guy shooting a couple of shots at you with a handgun (might even have shown little ejecting casings), and you lost money I think
>could have been turnbased somehow
>may or may not have had some classical music, such as a beepy and dooty rendition of Für Elise or something, but don't take this as definite, this could be way wrong
>graphics were pretty limited in colors, pretty sure it was made for EGA or something, skin was gray/white, greens were dark green, water was bright cyan, yellow was bright yellow, etc, shading was limited
Not sure what you were strictly doing in the game, if there was some goal or anything. I think the map screen was the game, I don't remember any separated segments with any kind of sidescrolling action or any turnbased combat.

No idea if anyone can identify this game, but if we can't, I'll do my best to help anyone else looking for something.

Anyone have any good centered sprites for a 9mm SMG and some kind of battle rifle?
