about 6 years ago Sonic and Knuckles lock-on stopped reading my sonic 2 cart. It gets past the TMSS screen and just hangs.

S&K alone as well as SK+Sonic 3 work just fine.

Cart inspection reveals nothing strange. Should I just buy a new S2 cart?

Is there something special I need to do to emulate the Sonic1-3 as Knuckles ROMs? I get the No Way! screen when I load up the roms.

Seriously, I don't think I've managed to ever land more than one hit on the bastard ever with Knux. As Sonic, this isn't a terribly taxing fight.

as Knuckles, you can't jump high enough to hit him most of the time, it's stupid hard, and I don't think anyone actually playtested this bit, they'd have adjusted Robotnik's hitbox otherwise

Sonic 3 + Knuckles by far, the level design is just amazing. I'm streaming it right now in twitch at /anvel_tianhold

Ps: Sonic 2 it's cool too, just didn't play it asmuch

About to stream some sonic 2 on twitch and realized I always play the same know genesis games.

Any master piece most people don't know about that I have missed on the genesis?

It just says "Knuckles the Echidna in Sonic 2"

Nevermind the sheer fact that just about every single song from Sonic & Knuckles is in Sonic 3's sound test. Not to mention Sonic 3's level select having a crapload of S&K's levels that just lead to nothing (Flying Battery was initially the second level of Sonic 3. There's a reason it flys over you in Angel Island Zone)
