You couldn't store your Pokemon on Colosseum like you could on Stadium 1 and 2?

Stadium is still great if you want to replay Gen 1 and 2 though.
Extremely convenient item/pokemon management, and good post-game content in the forms of cups.
Also, mini games for 4P multiplayer.
Not to mention the 3D models and animations still hold up pretty well.

why are the Stadium games so good?

Ah, too bad, I was going to suggest continuing on Pokemon Stadium, but they only accept the OG versions.
If you ever feel like playing through R/B again, play the OG version using Pokemon Stadium for storage/item management, and enjoy one of the best post-games in any RPG with the cups and the revamped Elite 4.
