Emotia seems a bit of a hyped up meme based on that price when the only thing going for it is 240p.

The VSC 500/700 are generations newer, have many more features like remote control and tons of menu options and don't require and expensive proprietary power supply with a din connector. You can even get 240p by connecting another Extron box to the VSC output.

I'm using a VSC500 to connect a PC to my Sony Wega via component and it's perfect. The price? I won one for $15 bin on ebay and the seller tossed another for free in the box, so I paid about $7. These things are all but worthless at this point.
