No problem, anon! I'm glad you're having fun, it's what this list's all about to me, having fun as we all make a list together that's new and different from the usual we see in video games media, it's been a blast so far, and I hope it stays that way! I think we'll manage 100 in just 2 threads afterall.

for a lot of systems they are. Terraonion DRM shitcarts are retarded IMO. They just add to the problem they are trying to solve.
SD2SNES carts are open source, sure.
everdrive is the most prevalent and arguably the easiest to recommend to people.

I just remembered something cool.

Back in the 90's (Russia) my parents bought me one of those "cheat codes & secrets for 999 games" paperback books which were very common here, for Megadrive/Genesis. And on the last page there was an ad for a flashcart, which came with a writing/dumping device. Since PC's were still really rare in Russia at the time, it used VHS tapes for storage. The ad said you could borrow a cart from someone, dump it and store on a tape, then write the game to the flashcart. Apparently one VHS tape could store multiple games.

Did such things really exist? Were they common? How reliable would it be to use analog media to store digital ROM's?

I have a question about the 32x, and it's so weirdly specific I can't find help on it.

My current setup are:

>NTSC Model 1 Genesis
>Model 1 -type input SCART cable
>Mega Everdrive

I want to acquire a 32x. In that case:

>will a Japanese or European 32x work with a NTSC genny?
>the 32x has a Model 2 -type AV port. Is there any adaptor I can use so I don't have to order ANOTHER Scart cable?

Is it possible to improve the video quality of a Sega Genesis without modding, aside from not using an RF cable?
