I somehow weasled my way into a management position at an indie music distribution company. The majority of my work is spent fucking off online, like right now. I listen to music, fart around in Access, and browse ebay and Yahoo JP auctions. I find myself getting more pleasure from spending money on games than actually playing them, sad but true. I just don't have the time when I'm at home.

My collection was already done by the time I got married, four years ago. I have a sort of man cave in our basement, it's where we watch movies, I don't have all bunch of consoles on display or anything (hundreds of games in Rubbermaid containers tho). She's not a gamer at all, though she gets into stuff like Wii tennis or really casual multiplayer stuff with friends. She doesn't henpeck me or anything, but definitely sees games as a minor hobby, which is fine. She has her knitting.

If she's home, I try to do other shit around the house like work on the yard or whatever instead of playing vidya. Sometimes I just head down to a bar by myself and play pinball all night. If my wife is out for some reason, then I'm in the basement playing games all night. The best is when I'm able to get a couple six packs, some ribs, and me and my dog chill out together and play Street Fighter or something competitive online.

I wish I had more time to play, but I try and enjoy the time I do have. I can't put up with shit like Final Fantasy anymore, both the length and ny more nd the terrible anime stories. I play a lot of fighters and puzzle games, really anything not too involved. I realize talking about my wife makes me a cuck or whatever, but anyone who's married knows it's a lot of give and take. The goal is to try to irritate the other person as little as possible.
