Just got a sony bvm 1310 and the power supply has corrosion from a leaked capacitor.
Spread to lots of resistors on the board.

Anyways, I need to get in there and clean the corrosion but I'm worried about the 200v 560uf capacitors shocking me.

I googled how long it takes for a capacitor to self-discharge, but they expect you to be a god damned Mathematician scientist and talk about time constants and shit.

will I be safe to clean the corrosion after a few days you think? or should I wait longer?
I did power it on when I got it.
