Delta is pretty good. I'd heartily recommend it, though the PS1 disc is pricey (~$35-40?). It has a lot of nice variety and I think it was supposed to be the original "end" of the series before Final, and ends on a pretty conclusive note.

Who else on /vr/ has played R-Type? One of my all time favorite game series that has stayed consistently good. Even that weird tactics game.

It seems like no one else has even heard of it though, and that's probably why the series had to end. It makes me sad, but I'm glad it ended on a high note.
