I'd argue the Uzis are your general workhorse weapons, right below your rocket launcher and grenade launcher.
I didn't use sticky bombs too much, and you won't use shurikens too often if you're playing continuous. Fists are good for killing bees, fuck bees. Railgun is excellent for shithousing tough single targets like Guardians or big rippers, as well as bosses. The Guardian head kicks ass, the triple explosive fire is just a line of death, and the orbiting flames ruin things up close.
Remember to not be stingy with your nukes, the game's generous with them if you look around and it's really fun to just level entire rooms of monsters.

and personally, I don't like it. If the doom competitive scene is dying, forcing accounts and making people have to sign up for a bunch of bullshit doesn't seem like the best way to keep things alive.
