Darunia is pissed when Link enters, when he heard the royal song he thought the king finally answered his message but instead a little boy is standing before him.
It sounds like Darunia did send a message, but never received a response (intercepted by Ganondorf?)

All of your other points can be easily explained as the King fucking hates non-hylians.
