>really? that sucks.
>i assumed that it existed in champions because the foundry was in CoH/CoV and champions is effectively the K-mart brand city of heroes.
Going to rant and rave for a bit. Champions has been a trainwreck from the first second it was conceived. It was originally meant to be a Marvel MMO but Cryptic could not secure the licensing rights, so they bought the Champions IP (Which is a disaster in its own right.) and hastily painted over the existing Marvel stuff with their own, new superhero content. As someone who played Champions from 2011 to 2021, with tens of thousands of hours spent in the game (8-12 hours daily for years and years) I feel safe in saying that the game is absolute trash. Cryptic made a lot of promises only to bail once the game was launched. The base game is uninspired fetch goon stomps, fetch quests and the occasional escort mission, all badly and loosely tied together by scant few story tidbits and flavor text mission prompts. The amount of new content released post-launch that was not simply lazy recycling of content already in the game is small enough that a casual player could complete -everything- in the game in a month, if they only played an hour or two a day at most. Amusingly enough the only reliable new content for Champions are paid cosmetics and loot boxes. Players were promised a foundry mode but it was given to STO and Neverwinter. Instead the players were sold private instance hideouts that are not even finished, and the only person able to complete the codework quit the job without leaving any info on how to do jack shit with the code he wrote, let alone handy code comments. Hell, Cryptic as a company refuses to even mention that they made Champions in media interviews and the like. Companies that make MMO games in the future should be required to research Champions Online and to see how badly Cryptic fucked everything up so they can learn what not to do involving MMO games.

Played the shit out of Sims 1 when I was a kid. Probably thousands of hours, and I didn't even have that many expansions, just a couple or three.

My girlfriend loves Sims 4 and I watched her playing the other day. It's such a shame that they've turned the series into a girl's fantasy sandbox. The amount of Barbie bullshit (play as vampire! etc.) is staggering, and the generic, lifeless look of it all is depressing.

The build mode looked nice and well designed, though.

The game was developed on CRTs, the assets were created on CRTs, the visuals were tuned on CRTs, and all of this was done with CRTs in mind. You just gotta deal with it.
