Now that the mods are asleep lets talk about how fucked we are

Any of them as long as you get the right voltage converter. A recapped Pro Duo-R is the gold standard if I'm remembering right. But any variant will be great as long as you have a way to play the CD games.

OP here. I thought this was a cut and dry question but apparently not. I guess I'll have to play all four versions now.

I never owned a Genesis growing up because we were an NES/SNES household. I've since sold my whole collection but I bought the Genesis Mini.

Now I'm seriously debating buying a Genesis and building a small collection. The clamshells are dope.

I used to be a collectorfag. I've sold off almost everything at this point because I realized I was on eBay chasing deals more than I ever played anything. I remember getting a few grails and by the time I sold them I barely had an hour's worth of time in gameplay even though I told myself that I was "complete" with those games.

I have to admit though, the itch comes back sometimes. It's like a fucking drug addiction. Lately I want to buy a Dreamcast and some Japanese PS2 titles.
