I used to have a 14L5, I tested whichever gran turismo at the different resolutions and tried 1080i and it looked pretty cool. I also replayed Halo 2 and 3 and preferred 480p over 720p just to use the full screen.
Also since we're talking Halo and CRTs, I used to play Halo CE on an old Dell PC trinitron and it was absolutely fucking beautiful, I miss that monitor every day. I also used to watch Netflix on it around 2009 era, back when they had just added high res versions of stuff, like 4:3 but HD Spongebob season 1 and 2. The Dell was actually better than the 14L5 that I owned later.
