When /vr/ started, the PS1 was 18 years old.
When the rule changed, the PS2 was 20 years old.
This year, the Nintendo DS turns 20.
Would it be fair to consider 7th gen to be retro? Xbox 360 turns 20 next year.
Is 20 really the magic number?
Try to keep it civil.

Jannies and mods: think for a second before deleting this thread.
Anons and anonettes: remember that 6th gen was allowed here by sheer force. The old /vr/ userbase was against its inclusion but with coordination and insistence, 6th gen was finally added, even against their will.
7th gen should be retro.
>but 7th gen was too different!
Compared to what? NES era? Maybe. 6th gen, which is already allowed here? Basically the same: sandbox games like GTA were the most popular, online FPS like Halo and cinematic games.
>but HD
People nowadays upscale even NES games to be displayed on HD. On the other hand, many people still used composite on LCDs for their 7th gen consoles, normies are like that. Also, I played PS3 on a CRT TV to avoid input lag inherent to HD, I played games like Demon's Souls, SF IV and Dragon's Dogma on SD.
Even if this thread gets deleted, remember: we can make this a reality if we keep posting 7th gen here until it's allowed, just like how it happened with 6th gen.
