>Playstation games always had nicer textures, the monsters in monster rancher 2 are way more detailed than any n64 textures I can think of from any game
What about Bad Fur Day or Perfect Dark? Or Turok 3?

>Maintain a framerate well above 15fps all the time?
That doesn't actually reflect upon the game's quality. It runs at 60fps on emulators and the Xbox 360. The game's framerate is problematic, but it doesn't diminish the game's brilliance. Plus, AFAIK, the PAL version is a lot better.

>The AI is kinda shitty, though. Those damn evasive rolls the AI does were needed for you to crack a shot off in the 64 version. When you play the Xbox version, you notice how shit it really is.
It's not that simple. You're thinking of Perfect Dark as a blunt FPS, which it isn't. Those evasive moves give you time to run up to guards and steal their weapons, for example. Not to mention the fact that you can use the custom difficulty unlocked after Perfect Agent to set the reaction times up to a 100 times faster than normal. Perfect Dark is still very, very hard, even on an emulator with mouse and keyboard controls.

If Perfect Dark, say, used simulant AI for singleplayer, the game would assrape you until you got frustrated and stopped playing.

Another point - on an emulator, you can see how good the NPC models actually are. Image relevant. The 360 version has new models, though. Personally, the N64 ones were better.

I notice the sniper up on the rooftop is a low-lod stick-figure, and the characters are medium detail models. But when you get closer, the models are quite high detail. This was an advantage of having 8MB of ram to play with compared to the PS1's 2MB. Lod models.
