Shinobi 3 is up there I do think however, but is more arcade-ish. In terms of soul maybe COMIC ZONE? But then again thats a shitty beat em up. Yoshi Island 2 has barely any comparisons from Sega I'm sorry to say. What Vectorman? hahaha

On PS2 I'd say MegaMan X4 is pretty good maybe Metal Slug. Obviously SOTN. Crash 2 (2.5D)

It's not that they weren't capible they were just out of style during that period. It was all about 3D Graphics TM.
