I recently downloaded a pack of like 700 roms, and culled them by sampling each one for 5-10 minutes. These are the 85 games I was left with

Meanwhile I had a similar amount of NES roms and got that number down to 270. A lot of Master System games are ports, and not good ones. And a surprising amount were made by Brasilians in the 90s, which is neat. If you got the time I would go through them all like I did. It was fun
