Akuji the Heartless is a damn fun game outside of the boss battles. It feels like Mario 64 but with a voodoo theme.

Since that game is out of the way I have to say Spider: The Video Game. It would be a true 2.5D platformer. 2.5D games are more than just 3D models on a 2D plane, but at times you can delve into the plane as well which this game utilizes for branching paths.
