>raised in a home where video games were generally frowned upon. They rot your brain, mentality.
>got away with a few computer games, mainly because it was on something that could be used for something other than gaming. so consoles were a complete waste of money to my parents

Parents dont know about it for a long time because afraid to show them. Once my dad finds out he doesnt seem to mind too much because he knows I bought it with my own money, and I can make purchasing decisions. But they would never buy games for me, so I have to get it all on my own
