Not OP

Came across a saturn with 1 japanese saturn pad, and two of these US Virtua Sticks, and a copy of Virtua Fighter for $50 on CL an hour away from me. How are these sticks? I'm not trying to be a competitive player or anything so I don't need them to be amazing.

I've got a virtua stick for the sega saturn, but it looks more like this than the one in the OP. It works alright, but I'm starting to think a modern stick would be better. Still, I enjoy using it for learning what using a stick is like and it's good for arcade games.

This whole craze for using Saturn controllers for emulation started with this batch of USB Saturn controllers that were produced that were great. The problem was that they were so popular those shittier Play Sega controllers came out to capitalize on the demand. Now I guess the only good way to tell the difference from pics is the good ones say Sega on the jack, but most sellers don't show a good pic of that so the way you went is a safe bet, assuming your Amazon seller isn't an idiot.

Also, one bonus to using an adapter is you can also use it with the excellent and overproduced (inexpensive) Sega Virtua Stick. You should be able to find one brand new for $20-$30
