Link's Awakening DX is a lot more muted by comparison. I wonder if that's because it pre-dates the trend of bumping up brightness in order to increase visibility.

Then again the Oracle games have an extra-light palette for the GBA so perhaps it was just a matter of art direction rather than pragmatism.

I'm planning to buy a pinball table soon, do you guys have any recommendations for machines from as far as the 80's that aren't on pinball arcade?

Man, I remember when I got LA for the first time, I remember going into the library and looking at that map, and knowing I would never be able to see the entire thing (mostly because the cart wouldn't save) through the game, so I'd just move the cursor left and right and view as much as I could and play as far as I could until I would turn it off.

It was a huge game to me back then, but now it seems so small.

I would have never guess I'd see the entire thing on a map like this in the end.

>20 years later pic related still hasn't met it's equal for sheer playability, sense of adventure, nostalgic moments, memorable music, and brilliant balance between sandbox and linear storyline.

If you disagree please present an alternative because many others like me are on a never ending quest to find an equal to this game. RPGs have their place and I love them but not in this thread please.

Link has fallen hard so why hasn't a new king of action adventure with themes of swords, hidden paths, magic, collectible items and mini quests risen up to take his place yet?
