>...Commodore's ultimate downfall was due to several reasons but one of them was the lack of modernized facilities. The MOS fab in New Hope was still using mid-1970s equipment and fabrication techniques. According to engineer Bil Herd, MOS had rather primitive, imprecise fabrication of chips with loose tolerances and frequent problems with wafer contamination. They also failed to upgrade to more modern, lower power, and cooler-running CMOS chips--the OCS Amiga chipset still used the same old 5 micrometer NMOS process that had been in use since around 1976. The AGA chipset was outsourced to Hewlett-Packard as MOS could not produce the chips themselves, and the New Hope facility finally closed down in 1992.[90]

I'm not sure if this was posted here yet, but there is a group of Polish guys who love old Amiga games and makes *.exe files out of them. Shit's non-profit and apparently legit. I'm playing Cannon Fodder now and, so far, it works fine.
Here's the link:

I hope, I don't have to remind you to don't download any shade exes from internet.
Check it out on your mother's-in-law pc, or boss' pc or that one guy's that piss you off pc.

What are some Amiga games that were first released on the AMIGA and the best version exists on the AMIGA.

One example would be Defender of the Crown. All the ports are inferior. I know this for a fact.

if I'm not wrong I believe Cannon Fodder's best version exists on the Amiga.

However a lot of the other games in its library you're better off playing those games on DOS or Consoles.

what are some good amiga games that still hold up today? arcade ports included

I really enjoyed Turrican, and I've played Turrican 3 on genesis. Unfortunately, the Bonk Adventure port has a shitty soundtrack

>The highres mode was B/W. An office would leave it there I'm sure.
Huh? It is color unless you used the composite output which nobody actually did anyway. Remember that the Amiga either has 320x200x32 or 640x200x16 with the total colors available being 4096.

Apparently they offered an RF modulator in Europe as well, that was never available on US models. Not like you'd ever want to try that anyway.

The amiga I think. You played as like a cute red squirrel looking thing.

Not bubsy.

I am pretty sure the start had a background similar to OP's pic, with maybe a few trees and such.

Noi sign of it anywhere on amiga game lists

Referring to things like Atari St, Commordore Amiga, ZX Spectrum, etc. Share your thoughts, memories, and favorite games.

I've heard that there are separate PAL and NTSC Amigas even though it is a computer. While this is understandable since it usually connected to a TV, I would like to be sure.
